even though it has been a very rainy summer... the sun always shines one wedding day. this picture was taken of julia and peter right before we boarded the winona cruise ship at the muskoka wharf in gravenhurst. the night was full of dancing and we even got to witness a beautiful fireworks display!

this summer has been full of amazing weddings. this one took place at arowhon pines in algonquin park.
from what i have been told deirdre and steve stayed up singing and dancing all night long!

Being a bride is so much fun!

not everyone is happy at weddings.....

this little girl was having trouble coping during the chaos of getting ready for the wedding.....
so cute, so sad.....i couldn't help myself from taking photos of her, despite her mood. although in my defense, i was consoling her between the frames.....

magnificent manitoulin!

after returning home from my barrie wedding, i quickly downloaded and recharged my equipment so i could get back on the road to get myself to maitoulin island for a shoot with the northern ontario aquaculture association. what a great time we had meeting and photographing the fish farmers. everyone was so hospitable and genuine.
in my spare time i had a chance to capture a little of what the island has to offer -- which is a lot!

Beautiful Barrie Wedding!

june 13th took us to barrie for a wedding. it turned into a beautiful day.
tangle creek golf club held this romantic ceremony in front of one of their gorgeous gardens and then provided a wonderful space for them to dance the night away.
we got to drive around in golf carts as we looked for perfect places to take pictures!

saturday june 6th i attended andrea and paul's wedding in windermere to capture this magical event. it was a fabulous day with clear blue skies and a bit of a breeze...

winter has arrived

so nice to see the arrival of the new season. yesterday was my birthday, and what a perfect day to awake to this awesome sight. i am blessed to have this view from my window....

young maddie was a pleasure to photograph a few weeks ago.....she pretty much only knows how to smile! i'm not sure i've ever seen a happier baby!

during my downtime

on the rare occasion i decide to take a day off, i like to spend it with my husband or my dogs or my friends -- but mostly i like to spend it in my jeep looking for mud holes.
a very cool (and younger than me) 1984 CJ7 -- they don't make them like that anymore! (thanks goodness, part of me says.....as i know all about the less fun aspects of driving a vehicle in canada that was originally produced for much warmer climates.)

i have been so lucky to have gone to a variety of counties and taste the many wonderful foods ontario growers and producers give us.....the ontario ministry of agriculture, food and rural affairs seems to find the greatest people for me to meet and photograph......and the food's pretty great as well.
